Goodwill Computer Museum

The Goodwill Computer Museum started in 1994 as a collection of hardware, software and documentation recognized as historically or culturally significant. The artifacts were recovered from the electronic recycling donation stream operated by Goodwill Industries of Central Texas and placed on a shelf in the Computer Works store. Called “Relics of the Past,” Goodwill customers could view these vintage items. In 2005, Goodwill completed the Goodwill Community Center and decided space for the museum and its growing collection. The mission of the Goodwill Computer Museum is to collect and exhibit objects and stories of the information age as a significant link to generating lifelong connections to work.
